Summary
Hops measures jump height from videos on your device. It has no account system and no server of its own. Your videos, measurements and profiles are stored only on your phone.
Camera and videos
Hops uses the camera only when you record a jump, and reads a video only when you pick one. Frames are decoded on the device to show the Flight Strip. Videos are never uploaded.
Measurements and profiles
Jump results, sessions, standing reach and profile names are kept in the app’s local storage. Deleting the app removes them. CSV export creates a file only when you ask for it.
Advertising
The free version shows banner ads from Google AdMob between lists. AdMob may use the advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID) if you allow it. You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking or Android Settings → Ads.
Purchases
The lifetime unlock is processed by the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase record so the app can restore it. We never see your payment details.
Children
Parents can measure their children’s jumps on their own device. Hops does not knowingly collect personal information from children and sends no measurement data anywhere.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date above.
